New CEO at Stockholm Water Foundation

The Board of the Stockholm Water Foundation (SWF) has appointed Anna Hadenius as its new Chief Executive Officer.

Anna Hadenius currently serves as Director of Environment for the City of Stockholm and brings extensive experience in environmental and sustainability issues from senior leadership roles. She will combine her role as CEO of SWF with her current position and will assume her new role on 1 January.

The Stockholm Water Foundation was established in 1990 with the aim of promoting research and development in the field of water. Each year, the Foundation awards the Stockholm Water Prize and the Stockholm Junior Water Prize—two of the world’s most prestigious awards recognizing achievements in water research, innovation, and engagement for sustainable water use. The Stockholm Water Prize is awarded under the Royal Patronage of His Majesty the King, while the Stockholm Junior Water Prize is under the Patronage of Her Royal Highness the Crown Princess.
