Nominate to Stockholm Water Prize

The Stockholm Water Prize recognizes people and organizations who have made outstanding contributions to the sustainable use and protection of the world’s water resources.

All nominations for the Stockholm Water Prize are carefully reviewed by the Prize Committee, composed of some of the world’s foremost water experts.

We welcome nominations from every corner of the globe and strongly encourage submissions highlighting women leaders. The Prize honors outstanding achievements in both scientific research and practical solutions. As the water sector rapidly evolves, we are committed to expanding our networks and embracing diverse expertise. Anyone can nominate a candidate, and the process is straightforward.

Nominitations for the 2027 Stockholm Water Prize are open on 1 April 2026.

Announcement: Nominations for the 2026 Stockholm Water Prize are now closed. The Laureate will be announced on 19 March 2026, during the World Water Day festivities at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris.
