Stockholm Junior Water Prize

The Stockholm Junior Water Prize ceremony has been held annually since 1997 and has become a highlight of World Water Week. Finalists are selected from national competitions held around the world, with their projects carefully evaluated by a distinguished jury of international water experts. The award is presented by the Prize’s patron, H.R.H. Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden.

Over the years, many projects submitted to the Stockholm Junior Water Prize have led to impactful innovations such as improving lives not only for the participants but also for their communities. Numerous past winners have gone on to build successful careers in the water sector, often crediting the competition for igniting their passion for science and shaping their professional journeys.
